| Royals Ready To Celebrate "R" Town
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the organization's seventh season will focus upon honoring the people, history, and landmarks of the Greater Reading Region. The 2007-08 marketing campaign will utilize the tag line "R-Team/R-Town" as the center-piece in game night promotions, community activities, charitable efforts, and a new line merchandise. The tag line is embodied in a logo designed by Joe Bosack, president and founder of The Joe Bosack Graphic Design Company of Philadelphia, who incorporated the team's secondary logo-the "R Crown"-as the graphic anchor for the tag line. For the second consecutive season, the Royals will kick off this year's marketing campaign with a photo contest for fans. This year, the team is encouraging fans to submit photographs focusing on landmarks within the Greater Reading Region, while prominently displaying the fans themselves-decked out in their Royals' gear, of course.
Home Console Development?
In the last 15 years or so, there has been a boom in the home audio industry brought about by the reduced pricing in high quality recording equipment and affordable computer hardware and software. Every middle class kid and their brother can write, record and market their songs, interviews, monologues, etc. This has been true of the PC gaming industry as well. There are plenty of powerful open source or cheap tools available for the creation of digital game content. This has resulted in a vibrant freeware and shareware game culture on the web. Modding tools are also prevalent and have served as springboards for many a fledgling artist, programmer, level designer into the universe of Triple-A game production. This has not been the case for consoles so much, however.
Forza Motorsport 2 Review
But more is not necessarily better--this is essentially the tagline for Forza Motorsport 2. Sure, there are more cars than the first, more decals, more online options (tournaments, and forzamotorsport.net), but that doesn't make the racer. I think you can humor me when I state that we are all vain to some degree. We desire flash in the buxom blond, shimmer in the racy redhead, but we also desire--to take this metaphor to the next level--a little mileage under the hood. The Forza Motorsport franchise is no longer the virgin contender for the racing crown; it had, in this reviewer's opinion, taken that title in 2005. It has been a few laps around the track, it has seen more, grown wiser, and knows what people want. They want more, certainly, but they also want quality.Forza Motorsport 2 is about quality of the racing experience.
